Joel Hall Dancers & Center has a history of high-quality dance studios used to support its daily drop-in classes, professional training sessions, programs, and rehearsals. When not in use, we seek to support emerging artists, companies, auditions, or other dance-based needs. We understand the importance of high-quality and well-maintained dance studios and equipment for artistic practice.

  • The Joel Hall Dancers & Center studio is approximately 29' x 38'. It features:

    • Connor Dance Pro Forma III sprung floor with Connor's proprietary vinyl covering

    • Moveable Ballet barres

    • WiFi

    • Yamaha sound system (with aux cable, iPhone adapter, Bluetooth capable)

    • Yoga mats

    • Rollers

    • Piano (available upon request)

    Renters also have access to the check-in desk, restrooms, a kitchenette, and the lobby area.

    No heels are allowed in the dance studio; street shoes are allowed on a case-by-case basis. Jazz or Ballet shoes, or socks or bare feet are acceptable.

  • Joel Hall Dancers & Center is located at 4511 N. Clark Street, in Uptown/Sheridan Park.

    • Metered parking on Clark Street, side street parking

    • Convenient to the 22 and 78 bus lines

    • Wilson Red Line station (about 15 minute walk)

    • Montrose Brown Line station (about 15 minute walk)

    • Ravenswood (UP North) Metra station (about 15 minute walk)

  • Rental Rates.

    • Class/commercial rentals: $60/hr

    • Nonprofit/individual artist rehearsals: $45/hr.

    Discounts are available for long-term/multiple rental dates, at the discretion of JHDC. Residencies are possible.
