The Joel Hall Dancers join their fellow Chicago Black Dance Legacy Project members for Metamorphosis, an evening of dance inspired by technology and transformation.

The Joel Hall Dancers will perform Joel Hall's Y2Day, a thrilling piece in three movements created at the turn of the millennium. Fear ushers in communal chaos in anticipation of the grim unknown, creating an apocalyptic setting for this award-winning choreographic work. A symphony of Urban Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Hip Hop, and traditional African dance couple with haunting colorful masks to convey a narrative of anticipation, destruction, and ultimately revival through change within the community formed onstage.
