Joel Hall Dancers & Center welcomes our fellow Chicago Black Dance Legacy Project member Muntu Dance Theatre for a two-hour masterclass in West African Dance. Accompanied by the drumming expertise of Muntu’s Executive and Creative Director Sekou Conde, this class will give you a chance to experience the beauty and technicality of African dance.

Masterclasses feature an experienced teacher who gives a nuanced overview of a method or technique. Dancers of all levels - and those who are new and curious - can get a deeper appreciation of the featured technique.
